A wonderful piece of early American advertising history, this antique Yale Mixture tobacco tin features beautifully aged olive green and golden yellow graphics, ornate borders, and original advertising for Marburg Bros. of Baltimore, Maryland.
Once used to hold Yale Mixture smoking tobacco, this charming rectangular metal tin has developed a rich, timeworn patina over the decades. Its distressed finish, faded lettering, and authentic rust give it the kind of character that simply cannot be replicated in modern reproductions.
The lid prominently displays the Yale Mixture name and its distinctive XTU XXX emblem, while the sides feature decorative advertising illustrations and the words "A Grand Combination of Choice Tobacco."
Perfect for collectors of antique tobacco memorabilia, vintage advertising, and early American tins, this little box also makes a wonderful decorative accent. Display it on a bookshelf alongside antique books, incorporate it into a dark academia study, or use it as a rustic accent in a collected vintage home.
Its compact size and striking original graphics make it especially appealing for anyone who appreciates authentic antiques with a story to tell.

A LITTLE PIECE OF HISTORY
Long before today's disposable packaging, beautifully illustrated tobacco tins served as both practical containers and miniature advertisements. Their intricate typography, colorful graphics, and distinctive branding have made surviving examples desirable pieces of American advertising history.
This Yale Mixture tin is a lovely example of that tradition, with more than enough age and character to make it a conversation piece.
Please note: This listing is for the vintage tobacco tin only. Any additional decorative items shown in staged photography are not included.
