Warm, glowing, and impossibly charming — this vintage marigold carnival glass bon bon dish is a quintessential piece of early American pressed glass artistry. The wide, shallow bowl is lifted by a small ringed foot and flanked by two graceful loop handles, its ruffled and crimped rim fanning outward like a flower in full bloom. The interior features a shimmering, rich marigold iridescent finish that shifts from warm amber to deep copper and rose depending on the light.
Known interchangeably as a bon bon dish, open basket, or two-handled nappy, this form was one of the most popular shapes produced during the golden age of carnival glass (roughly 1908–1930s). The two-handled open basket silhouette made it ideal for serving candies, nuts, or small confections at the table — and today it makes an equally beautiful display piece on a shelf, mantle, or styled vignette.
