A substantial and beautifully detailed vintage solid brass bison figurine, mounted on a sleek black-painted wood base. The figure captures the iconic power and presence of the American bison — head lowered, muscles tensed, mid-stride — with finely textured casting that renders every curl of fur and hoof with impressive realism. Gold-toned horns provide a warm contrast against the rich dark bronze patina of the body.
The underside of the figure shows areas of natural green patina, believed to be a byproduct of the manufacturing process where the brass was cast. It has been left intentionally uncleaned — a nod to those who appreciate the honest character that age and oxidation bring to solid brass. It could easily be cleaned if a brighter finish is preferred.
